Apologies as wanted to get blog going earlier .... after buying a new mini laptop.
Well its been a while, Arrived in Madrid mid Feb. started walking with 3 friends from North America on 20th of Feb. on the way to Valencia for a start ..... we are doing our best to keep to back roads as much as possible and have covered some 220km. We are in a small rural town called Motilla del Palancar, the weather has varied from cool and clear to cold, wet and windy with the odd snow flurry thrown in. As we get closer to the coast we expect the weather to improve, well we hope.
The distances we have had to walk each day have varied from about 15-40km depending on the distance between towns and where we can find accommodation, the weather is also a factor.
We are about 2/3rd of the way to Valencia where we will rest for a few days then start walking south along the coast.
