Thursday,4th of April 2013 - day 44
We leave Quentar in light drizzle, we were all a bit reticent about starting out in the rain ... so lingered over the coffee for a while. About 2km down the road at Dudar we leave the road for a path that traverses the ridge of hills for about 10-12km, it is exposed and rather cool,we are in cloud so no views, so we shift into high gear to help keep warm. The wind and rain is constant but we make very good time, then down into a valley and we follow the Rio Derro all the way to Granada, the rain is intermittent and we are protected from the wind ..... then we are winding our way through the outer suburbs of Grenada and can't resist grabbing a hot chocolate or coffee here. Its about 2pm when we find a place to have lunch and rest in Grenada. Its been a hard days 26-27km of walking, hills, rain, cold and wind. After a light lunch, its time to locate our hostel and clean up and dry out.
Tomorrow we will do the touristy things, a rest is in order then diner an early night.
